There is Singing: cywydd deuair hyrion
Listen to the birds; they sing
each morning at dawn’s lifting,
before the dew dries away
as the now becomes today.
Who knows why they keep at it?
Most see no real benefit
in trilling out little tunes;
there’s much work to do by noon. Continue reading

Lighten Up Already: cywydd deuair fyrion
Why is your verse
so depressing?

you use your words
to focus now
on the absurd
thing in the room,
the evil beast,

Straighten the Story: cyrch a chwta
Let me get this story straight:

that would enslave me to its choices –
a sleeping puppet, meek and voiceless. Continue reading

The Road to Find Out: cyhydedd hir
When do you find out
what life is about,
without any doubt
of its meaning?
How does it appear,
when you see it clear
and without fear
intervening? Continue reading

Spare Change: curtal sonnet
When you begin to want to make a change,
you may have no idea how to start.
In fact, your mind may feel lost and confused;
your friends may think you weird or just deranged,
and you’ll keep your own counsel, if you’re smart,
to keep yourself from being too abused. Continue reading
